Refund and Returns Policy

At Lanka House, we are committed to providing high-quality house plans and tools to assist our customers in their construction projects. However, due to the digital and customized nature of our products and services, we have specific refund and returns policies in place:

1. Digital Products (Ready-to-Build Plans)

  • Non-Refundable: All ready-to-build house plans are digital products and are non-refundable once the files have been downloaded or accessed.
  • Errors or Issues: If you encounter any errors or issues with the files provided, please contact us at admin@lankahouse.lk. We will work to resolve the problem and provide you with corrected files if necessary.
  • Suitability Responsibility: Customers are responsible for ensuring the purchased plan is suitable for their land and meets local authority requirements before purchase. Refunds will not be issued for incompatibility or non-compliance.

2. Custom Designs and Services

  • Non-Refundable Deposit: For custom design projects, an initial deposit is required and is non-refundable once the design process has begun.
  • Cancellation Policy: If a customer cancels the project after work has started, no refunds will be issued for work already completed.
  • Revisions: We allow [Insert Number, e.g., 2] rounds of minor revisions. Additional revisions will be charged at a standard hourly rate.

3. Cost Calculator Estimates

  • No Refunds for Misinterpretation: The cost calculator is a tool for rough estimates only. No refunds or adjustments will be made if actual construction costs differ from the calculator’s estimate.

4. Incorrect or Duplicate Orders

  • If you accidentally purchase the same house plan multiple times, please contact us immediately. We will review the situation and issue a refund for the duplicate purchase if the files have not been accessed.

5. Time-Limited Refund Requests

Refund requests for exceptional circumstances (e.g., duplicate payments or errors in the purchase process) must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction. Requests made after this period will not be eligible for a refund.

6. No Refund for Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds for change of mind after a purchase. Please ensure you review the details of your selected house plan or service before completing your order.

7. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests will only be processed under the following conditions:

  • The product received does not match the description provided on the website.
  • There are technical issues with the downloaded files that cannot be resolved.
  • Refund requests are made within 14 days of purchase.

If you believe you are eligible for a refund under our policy, please contact us with the following details:

  • Full Name
  • Order Number
  • Email Address used during the purchase
  • Reason for the refund request
